From the start in Asperg to a family business operating nationwide
It all started very small, with four employees in Asperg in 1990 - and has developed rapidly since then. Today, A.T. Iser has more than 30 branches and over 110 employees. But how did the family business become such a success story?
"The subject of automotive glass was something Andreas and I grew up with," says Managing Director Thomas Iser. After all, Paul Iser, father of the managing director duo, was already involved in auto glass repair in the 1970s. So it's no wonder that the family business has developed rapidly right from the start. In 1991 the second branch was opened in Stuttgart-Möhringen.
The next milestones followed quickly. In 1992 the branch in Schweinfurt became the first branch in another federal state. In 2004, the tenth branch opened in Bremen, and to mark the 20th anniversary in 2010, a branch opened again in Baden-Württemberg in Stuttgart-Mitte. There are now more than 30 branches spread throughout Germany. "To see the development in retrospect is of course a beautiful thing," says Thomas Iser. "We had the opportunity to keep growing and we took it quite deliberately. Because in the automotive glass sector, company size is definitely a factor," he explains.
The logical consequence: a partner who is an ideal fit - Wintec. "Insurance companies prefer to work with companies that are as large as possible, which is why the cooperation with Wintec is good for us," Iser explains. At the same time, it has been important for the family business to remain independent. "We attached great importance to that," Iser emphasizes. And the cooperation has worked out perfectly: "Wintec is in exchange with the insurance companies and does the mediation, and we can concentrate on our core competence - auto glass." And with complete success. This is backed up by more than 30 branches, over 110 employees and ongoing further development.
